Miniature game is a game played with miniatures. These vary from fairly simple board games using beautiful and detailed miniatures as playing pieces to elaborate battle games where miniature armies wage their wars on carefully detailed terrain.
Miniature games usually include a collectible element, as players must purchase the miniatures they want. In some cases this requires plenty of shopping to get a full army on the tabletop, in some cases players use just few figures each.
